Things are in the works.

It has been too long since my last post so I want to let you guys know that I am working on something cool. I am currently working on GPUReview's second video card review. While it is our second review, it is our first review of a card that has not been launched yet... which also means we got it for free. (Hey Mike, did I ever tell you how much I love my job?)

Riddle me this, riddle me that, what video card am I now looking at?

You will have to wait a few days to find out. See you then!

The Riddler!

Is it the new card from ATi, RV740? Another "budget card" from them, following the Radeon HD 4830?

I don't think it's the HD49xx series, but it can also be the HD4890, which is just by default a higher clocked HD4870.

A) that movie was so much more hardcore than the 2008 batman its not even funny.
B) I'm betting its the RV790 aka RV770XT, aka HD4890. Might just be a superclocked version of the RV770, but a couple rumors suggest that the RV770 actually had 80 SP's disabled for yield, and that this new card doesn't. --but ATI, I hate to break it to you, but it seems Nvidia has adopted the stratagy that a dollar you dont make is a dollar they earn (actually its about fifty dollars they lose but, dont tell accounting that). With the GTX 260 going for under $200 frequently, its time for an HD4870 price cut!

Anyways, this site is a fantastic resource and its only getting better.

Keep up the good work.
ps sorry for the essay!

I suppose it's the HD 4890 , can't think of any other card that's going to be released soon . I'd be rather supprised if it actually is that card , though , considering you seem to be a nVidia fan :P .

I'm gonna say the GTS 250 which should be showing up in reviews all over the place in about 6 hours :)
