The magical mystery card!

Asus has finally done it! They have harnessed the magic of the orient and fused it with their latest 8500 GT! Asus has called this enchanted 8500 GT the EN8500GT SILENT MAGIC/HTP/512M. This phrase is actually on the card's page: "Magic Gaming Experience with 512MB Memory and New-Aged DirectX 10"

Can you put a price on a "magic" 8500 GT that has 512MB of underclocked DDR2? I don't think you can!

Magic card.

Well, I like me 8800gts just fine, but if I wanted to build a super-silent media PC, this one would look pretty attractive.

The card is actually a shapechanged 8800 Ultra, and in the heatsink lives a small colony of techno-gnomes. If you rub the transistors just right, they might change the card back to its original form. Or maybe not, depends on your luck. ;) Now if only we can get Asus' special far eastern hoodoo to make the HD 2k series worth buying...

I would support ATI's HD 2900 XT , because IMHO it can squeeze out a lot more performance than the 8800 GTS with newer drivers and native DX10 games. Right now it beats the 8800 GTS by quite a margin ( not a super massive margin , but it's closer to the 8800 GTX than to the GTS IMHO ) and eats 75W more than the 8800GTS .

This comment is for Radiator.

If ATI's HD 2900 XT graphic card so good, then why is it getting creamed by quite a number of reviews I've seen so far.

Let me know if I should post URL's of the reviews as proof.. and I'll do it.
