The hot PC games of E3 2010.

War Shooters

Call of Duty: Black Ops
Release Date: November 9th, 2010
Live Demo from E3

The newest Call of Duty title is being developed by Treyarch and it is adding some new types of gameplay to existing CoD formula. One of the sequences shown at E3 puts the player in cockpit of an aircraft and asks them to use their vantage point to give orders to their men on the ground. The player has to keep their squad away from patrolling soldiers up until the point where a confrontation becomes unavoidable. At that point the player then assumes the persona of one of the men on the ground as the fight begins.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier
Release Date: March, 2011
Live Demo from E3

If you like using weapons and equipment from the near future to sneak up on the enemy and then execute brutally precise takedowns, then this is the game for you. From what I have seen this game is all about following orders and keeping a low profile until the command to engage is given, and when the command is given, your enemies fall to the ground in a simultaneous dance of death.

Medal of Honor
Release Date: October 12, 2010

Live Demo from E3

According to Hilary this game is a cross between Call of Duty and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and it may also be the best multiplayer game of this year. Hilary is not a man (well, he is actually a man) who would say these things about a game that he is not very impressed by. One of the interesting things about this game is the fact that it is being created by two development houses. Electronic Arts LA is in charge of the single player and multiplayer gurus D.I.C.E are crafting the multiplayer portion.

Spec Ops: The Line
Release Date: TBA 2011

Video Preview
E3 Trailer set to Rooster by Alice in Chains

This game is inspired by Apocalypse Now and the book the movie was based on, Heart of Darkness. There will be a multiplayer beta on Xbox Live this summer. I've said enough I think.

Curse CryTek for dumbing down Crysis for consoles and therefore making PC gamers suffer because of it ... ugh .
Anyhow , not much to wait for , Brink sounds more or less interesting ... Bulletstorm will most likely be a masterpiece , since it's being made by the same guys who made Painkiller ( People Can Fly ) ... and uh I sincerely hope they don't fuck up Dead Space 2 , and try to improve it instead ( Dead Space was quite fun but not without it's flaws ) .
Black Ops could be interesting but I'm not holding my breath... IW disappointed us with P2P MP ( not that I truly care about MP ) and a WAY too short single player part ... so I doubt Treyarch could do any better , although I definitely will give it a shot when it's out .
Starcraft 2 ... hope the single player is worth it ( yeah I really couldn't care less about MP ) .
Wish they'd make a Warcraft sequel that ISN'T a fucking mumorpuger , but rather a genuinely good RTS . Guess that's too much to hope for , since WoW is so riddiculously popular .

@Radiator: why do we have to suffer for downgrading crysis? you mean the elapsed time that needs for porting the game?

I'm talking about the damn game being dumbed down for consoles (not just graphics but suit functions and so on and so forth) .
And what happened to the original trilogy plan ? Is Crysis 2 going to be a reboot or is it going to continue the story of part one ? Probably a reboot so the morons who play shooters on consoles would understand whats going on . And the NY setting was most likely chosen just so consoles would have an easier time running it and that it wouldn't look ugly with the limited draw distance consoles would provide .
And as for it's graphics , I'm sure they would've made it a HELL OF A LOT better looking if they didn't waste as much time and effort towards "optimizing" it so that consoles could run it with their extremely outdated and limited hardware .
Fucking consoles ... gah .

Radiator, I am 100% behind you on that.

Consoles are ruining games that started on PC so they can try to fit it on their piece of shit outdated bullshit overpriced hardware. It's Also nice to Guild Wars 2, I am a HUGE player of the original Guildwars :D.

That's His Name so Don't Wear it Out!
Where's the "like" button for Radiator's and Pelter's posts?! Darn...this isn't Facebook. I totally agree though - the PC version should be more like the original Crysis, story continuation and all.
