This card is faster than a 7800GS, but it has PS2.0 and the 7800GS has 3.0. If you want HDR then get the 7800GS if you want faster graphics get the X850XT PE.

This card is NOT better then the 7800 GS. It is only clocked higher and since its built on the 110nm process and has the same ammount of pipeslines as the 7800 GS, it WILL perform the same once the 7800 GS is overclocked to the same freaquency. EXCEPT that the 7800 GS has PS 3.0 and a better cooler. So i would have to say that out of the box the X850XT PE wins, but with an overclock, the 7800GS can equal it and more.

high dynamic range...it means it can show scenes with more color depth and contrast...i.e. a wider range of color. It works with any monitor (up to this point it's been a limitation of the video card). This is a video card feature, some cards can do HDR in games/apps, others can't.

Well, get an Artic Cooler to get rid of noise and cooling problems (stock cooler stinks), use overclocking software such as Rage3D and this card will still hold its place and exceed the 7800 GS period. I got 38 C and overclocked core to 600 mhz with no artifacts. Memory is touchy, though, and only go to 600 hz before problems start. I am waiting (patiently) for R600 to come out and see what happens.

This is the only AGP I've seen which requires 2 slots at the back of the casing

lol... whoever who throwed in huge sums of money on this card probably now banging their head against the wall because latest games needs at least DX9.0c support while this only supports DX9.0. I had a friend who owned this card and now's he's crying just because he couldn't play latest games, he regreted on getting this card instead of Radeon X1300PRO (at least this card can play latest games minimum settings)

I owned this card, was the first flagship card I ever owned. I sold it 6 months later to pick up an X1800XT, card only lost maybe 15-20% of its value in that time. Not bad for a flagship card. AGP cards are holding their value surprisingly well. People are still paying top dollar for AGP x800s, 6600GTs and 7600GSs on the secondary market.
