My take on this card: it's going to be competing against cards that are a hell of a lot cooler and quieter. These are likely to be rejected X1800 Xl parts, so the overclocking will likely be hit or miss. And it's going to be killing ATi to sell these at a $249 a piece.

I'd much rather see ATi come up with a true midrange part instead of chopping down high end parts. For the performance it gives, there's no excuse for the heat and noise.

I was unable to successfully unlock a Connect3D x1800GTO from 12 to 16 pipelines through a bios flash.
