Very low power user :)

I can see this being used in home pc to watch DVDs and play retro games

it seems a pain when the faster memory uses less power which is what this card which is using GDDR2 is all about, really annoying, they should just use GDDR5 and downclock & lock the memory speed so it uses even less energy

I bought the Gigabyte 4350 512mb for an HTPC.
Stock clocks are 650mhz core, 400mhz memory.

Good entry-level card for the HTPC community: blu-ray playback is impeccable. Though not meant for gaming, HL2:E1/E2, Quake Wars, Battlefield 1942 pack & Bioshock can be played at 1024x768 with acceptable framerates (30 fps). For its price, I wouldn't complain!

They should release an AGP version!

The 4300/4500 series are perfect for old CPUs (from the AGP mb era) that can't handle HD decoding. These card would revive such systems.

The HD4650 is an overkill for such systems, since the CPU is the bottleneck when trying to play modern games.
