Radeon 4000 Series Pics & Specs!

Toms Hardware has all the details here. Nothing too surprising. It looks like an RV770-based X2 card isn't planned to launch this summer? So I foresee nVidia dominating the high-end once again and ATi giving us some very solid prices in the mid to upper-mid range.

News reports claim that the 4870X2 will be launched in Q2.

I REAAAAAAAAAALLY hope the similarities between the 4870 and 2900 coolers wont mean another cooler that makes people's ears bleed. Also, the 4850 better be pretty cool, or the fan will have to spin up and be even louder than the 3850.

Most of the text consists of questionmarks on the link , for me atleast .
@abovedefault - They are at 55 nm process , so it will not be nearly as bad as the HD 2900 XT .

@Radiator: Heh. Completely forgot about that. I don't think I need to be worried about the 4850 either. It's core clocks are lower than the 3850.

And it's shader clocks are higher , than the HD 3850's .
