Nvidia hard launches the GTX 465.

Looks like I missed out on some big news when I was spending time with my family this weekend. Nvidia announced the GTX 465 and the cards were available in stores 2 days before the NDA expired. I have linked up all the cards that are available at Newegg and I have added the reviews to our GTX 465 page.

Galaxy, and Gigabyte have non-reference coolers on their models, but I like Palit's design the most. The card has a nice dual fan cooler and it features full size HDMI and DisplayPort ports as well as two DVI connectors.

Well the same boat as the 5830 when you get lemons from TSCM... Although Nvidia probably has more of these than 470's or 480. They could'nt sell the 470 at the price point they wanted without offering this to stabilize their price structure and need those for the dual card. I mean if they had the 470 compete by it's self against a 5850 they would have deluted the profit they could make on those few chips.
This gets them an offing that A) Make a home for the bulk of chips that weren't orginally considered in the original product mix for bolstering Fermi yeilds. B) Can be sold closure to a 5850 (though still expensive for the price/performance) C) At least exceptable power for more mainstream upgraders so not to purchase a new costly PSU.
Not bad if/when it can be had for the MSRP of $280 or less, but those that already have the GTX275/285 it's not any more and in some titles less, so it not any upgrade. And isn't providing any improvement in power requirements over those.

Honestly... why dont they release INSANE coolers like this for the GTX 480? It doesn't bother me any.
