Detals are still very sketchy on this card and the chip that runs it. But overall it should be slightly faster than a GeForce Go 7700.

If it should be faster then why is it clocked lower then the 7600gt and wasn't nvidia supposed to make this a 16 pipeline card?

I would be quite surprised to learn that G73 actually has 16 pipelines. I've never believed the rumors.

It's clocked lower because it's the mobile version. The desktop version (if there is one) should achieve higher clock speeds than the current 90nm version.

Yes but if it has a higher model number then the 7600gt shouldn't it be faster?

This card is worse than the 7600 GT, but only in clock speeds. So since the 7700 has an 80nm core, it can actually become better than the 7600 GT, once overclocked. However since there is little room for an overclock in a laptop, the 80nm is pretty much wasted on a mobile card. But at least its the first.

Yeah, I'd like to see what the chip could do in a desktop configuration. But it's nice for laptops since the power consumption and heat are bound to be lower.
