GeForce 8800GT / G92 Pics!

The 8800GT appears to be a little closer at hand than I realized. Fudzilla has a picture of the thing, and it's a standard nVidia press photo. This means two things: the card will be released soon, and it's going to be a major press event. Check out the pics here.

8800 GT? 2950 Pro??? Which is going to be the better performer? Which will be cheaper? Will they be adequate upgrades from the x1950 Pro?

So many questions! I'm getting chills...

Scoop! Great find Mike. It looks so thin and sleek due to its length.

That cooler looks slim . It takes only 1 slot , instead of 2 slots right ?

@Radiator It is obvious that is a single slot. It even says so above the picture at Fudzilla.

I can't wait to see the stats on this card. I'm upgrading to 8800 for Crysis, just not sure what model yet.

256bit memory bus , I'm fairly sure you won't max Crysis with it ( I have serious doubts in the 8800 GTS maxing Crysis even ) . But then again , we'll see how this card is when it comes out .
( And for the record , I mean't completely maxing it , resolution and AA included ) .

I've heard some places that it will be impossible to completely max out Crysis till several months after it comes out because the technology isn't commercially available yet. I just want to have higher-end settings on 1680x1050. And of course, the destructible environments of DX10. I have SLId 7600GTs and I'm leaving SLI because it can't do dual screens yet, which is my non-game setup. So it's a pain to reboot into SLI every time I want to play.

Hi guys do you think that 8800GT can beat 8800GTS video card?

@anonymous No it will not. Nvidia's naming scheme is such that the GTS is always above the GT in performance.

The settings that are impossible to max out in Crysis will be opened with a patch as soon as the video cards that are able to run it at those settings come out . That's what I read.. can't remember where though .
