This card is essentially two under-clocked 7900GTX's strapped together and hard-wired in SLi mode. Currently drivers will not allow Quad-SLi with two of these cards, but it's definitely coming soon.

Guru3D was able to run Quad-SLi and found that it only worked well in one game... FEAR! "By pushing a little trick on the drivers we where able to force the ForceWare drivers to recognize the Quad SLI configuration"

I'm personally not too sure that Quad-SLi is going to work out very well. It seems like the CPU overhead of having 4 cards in SLi is killing the performance in all but the highest resolutions. But then again, I don't think nVidia would be putting so much time and energy into it if it wasn't viable on some level.

This is the universe's first retail graphics card that is fully capable, compliant, and compatable with HDCP (High-bandwith Digital Content Protection). The reviews from Guru3D and the Tech Report reveal this fact. This is huge news and that is why I am posting it here and also on the front page.
The Wikipedia HDCP page.

The FiringSquad article that blew the whistle on HDCP and graphics cards.
An article from BEHardware on the same subject.

I need to start keeping track of what cards are HDCP compliant...

Yet im sure it still wont run games at max settings...They make games require way too much hardware these days, they should tone it down so that people can actually experience good frames :(

What exactly does High-bandwidth digital content protection even mean? heh...BTW I love this site Mike! Keep up the good work.

HDCP is next-gen content protection at the hardware level for pretty much anything that plays or displays a high-definition signal.

I`m not sure because I dont have one (or rather 2 because of the PCBs) at home but I have heared that NVIDIA has allready brought them pritty close to max capacity to beat ati (you know the storry) I would go up to 550 at the core and 680 for the mem (being on the sure side). Hope you dont have bad surprises .
