Foxconn first to list the 8800 GT. No really. Foxconn.

Frankly I was surprised. Foxconn has always just...I don't know... been there. They never were the first to list a new card and they are not known for their overclocking prowess (they do overclock though). I was kinda expecting Evga, BFG, XFX or maybe MSI or Asus to be the first to list the 8800 GT. Go figure. Well you can see the site right here. The card looks really colorful and I like the jester on it.

UPDATE: Foxconn has removed their 8800 GT page now. Sorry, I don't have any pics of the site. It should be back soon I hope.

Foxconn is the biggest computer electronics by far.

Their designs always suck though.

@nice try You are correct. I don't know much...however the reason I was surprised is not because Foxconn "came out with it first" or that they were the first to market with the card. I was surprised because I am not used to Foxconn having information up on their site before other manufacturers. I have not seen them update their site as quickly as other AIB partners. That is all.

Way to go Foxconn! I'm glad to see that they came out with the card first, but I need whatever the heck it is they were smoking when they designed that hideous graphic on the heatsink! I mean, I can appreciate the "Jester Gesture" but it looks like while Foxconn was having a "Bring your kid to work day", someone in the design department's pre-pubescent 12 year old daughter wired on a delicious (yet surprisingly nutritious) breakfast consisting of Red Bull and Froot Loops vomited on their only sample card, took a picture of it, tried to spruce it up a bit with Paintshop and then submitted her abomination through her mom's work email while she was out getting a danish and coffee!

I would say Foxconn was like a boxer trying to make weight. Design and heat sink don't have to be pretty when you're the first out the door.

Foxconn is not some small unknown company you fools. I guarantee you all have had something or another in your computer made by foxconn just because it dont carry their brand you would be surprised how many motherboard components, video cards etc. they make for other companies.

In fact alot of Nvidias cards up to the 8 series where made by foxconn and rebranded for EVGA, BFG and XFX etc. so that 6 or 7 series "big name brand" you had it was probably made by foxconn and rebranded.

Its dissapointing to think that so many people dont know this...

@anonymous Check out the 8th comment on this page which is by me. I know Foxconn is huge. I am not contesting that at all.

yes Foxconn is a big oem supplier. What is interesting is that Foxconn decided to one-up the typical "bleedling edge" names and offer their version first to retail. That is what should be noted.
