Default My Camcorder

Well I just bought a used Camcorder, a JVC GR-DVL9800 from a second-hand shop for about $120. The biggest thing that worries me about the camera is the recording medias is a MiniDV Cassete, I haven't tried the camera out yet because no DV-Cable or charger is provided, so can the videos recorded in MiniDV cassete be transfered to the PC by a movie file so I can do my video editing properly?? That camcorder was quite old, the software disc only supports Windows 98 or 2000

Please make some comments on the quality... The sound quality is just kickass. If the video quality suck I'm going to change for another model.

I wish you had warned about the background song... my speakers are at a very high volume , so they fired up when I ran the video .
Anyway , the quality seems fine to me . But then again , youtube isn't the best place to demonstrate or compare video quality .
