Nvidia 9500GT 512MB
Default I'd like to ask help from the Pros :)

Hi everyone, can you guys hep me out with something? I'm not really much of a computer guy and I'm doing my best to understand more about computers but times like these I turn to the PROS for help. Now lemme spill the beans.

My current specs is as follows:

Motherboard: XFX MI-XG31-CH79
Processor: E2140 @ 1.60Ghz
GPU: 9500GT 512MB
RAM: 2 Gigabytes, DRAM Frequency 336.1 MHZ

I know my specs suck so much. I live in a 3rd world country to make things worse I also live with in a province in a 3rd world country and hardware is VERY hard to get . Anyway, here's the part where I wanted help with. I saw an ASUS Rampage Extreme II at the store this afternoon on my way home. I was like a child flowing with excitement! I was like, "Omg that's the MoBo from the Internet!" Lol.

Will all the stuff that will come from my current rig still work well with the ASUS Rampage Extreme II if I ever buy it? Will the 2gigabyte ram stick still work on it? Will my processor still run fine on it?

Hope you guys can help me out. Please ask questions if you guys need more info. I'll be more than happy to answer them. xD

the gpu will work
processor --> no
ram --> no, it is ddr2 on your motherboard.

you need an LGA1366 socket INTEL processor like the i7 920
you would also need ddr3 ram
you would be building a whole new system if you buy the Asus board.

you could upgrade your current processor (pentium duo) though, anything Core2 either dual or quad core if you can afford.

http://xfxforce.com/en-us/products/m...List-Intel.pdf (BE SURE TO READ THE XG31i column)

somebody here might recommend a processor because I have never had one from that list!! I went from a P4 systems to triple core systems from AMD that I unlocked to quad core.
