Default Rivatuner question

so i use rivatuner to monitor the temps of my cards.
just now i noticed that there r 2 different data providers in rivatuner,
first one is just default, and 2nd one is NVThermalDiode.dll:0
i have always had it at default apparently, when i switch to NVT, the temps r decreased by 5C. so they r 5C apart in telling temps.
which is more correct and which i should stick with?
my temps on idle are from 47-49C on default, with NVT its 42-44C
thanks!
