Do you mean in the way that ATi and Nvidia cards use hypermemory and turbocache, repectively?
In that case, yes they are, but it just increases the amount of memory the card has, it doesn't actaully...

I don't think it's true, and I can't find anything about it (Although I havn't been looking to be honest) But if it is, it might be worth a little look

It would be good, but no card is ever going to use 6GB of RAM to itself, I don't even think photo realistic graphics would use that much
