You should buy AGP card... PCI is even slower...
You should buy AGP card... PCI is even slower than AGP 2X and 8X cards will work on 2X too. But... remember the slot. One is _|__ and second is __|_. Newer cards won't support all these AGPs, so...

Some cards with 512mb of memory have sometimes...
Some cards with 512mb of memory have sometimes one bad thing - memory speed is slower. For example: 256mb card have 1200 mhz gddr3 mem, but 512mb card have 800 mhz ddr2. So, the choice is yours:)

find your card and where's the pipelines, there is somthing like this 8 (12), 8 is how much opened and 12 is total. 4 is unlocked.
