I'm replacing my 6800 PCI-e in HTPC because of WAF. The stock fan sounded like a hair dryer and the Artic Cooler I replace it with now has a fan rattle. Needless to say I like the passive cooling along with the component dongle and other features of the 7600GS but know the 6600GT is the reigning favorite in the same price range. I'm a HDTV/video guy, don't overclock and not a gamer. Any insights/suggestions?

Well, I don't know how you feel about a used card but it's in perfect shape and I don't figure you can beat the price.

The 7600GS does have that oh-so-nice passive cooling going for it. Plus it has a better HD video processor than the 6600GT and a native HD output...

I would definitely go with the 7600GS...many people are calling it the "6600GT killer" cuz it just offers more for less money...

Jason has that 6600GT sitting around though, and I"m sure he'd make you a nice deal on it...

I would. Just make me a reasonable offer ... but don't worry about me too much.

You go with what you want.

Jason, want to trade me for a rattlely 6800?? :D Just kidding. I think I am going with the 7600GS. Mike's comments kinda seals the deal for me. The other great thing about getting a new card is I'll get one of my PCI slots back that disappeared when I put on the Arctic Cooler monster.

P.S. Mike I tried to send you a comment/suggestion, but when I clicked on submit, the page didn't change for some reason, so don't know if you got it. Anyway, great site!

For troubleshotting purposes, where did you try to send the comment from? (cuz I haven't gotten anything)

Mike it's was on your comments form. Funny I was looking at another thread and saw what I was suggesting in my comments (report on HDCP and HDMI). I'll try to resend just to test.

Mike tried to send again on "Contact Us" form. When I click on send, it just blinks and doesn't seem to send, stays on same screen just as before.
