Hello guys,
I have a toshiba p105 s9337 laptop. I bought it in april of 07 and it is no longer under warranty.
You see my video card burnt up, it is the go 7900 gs.
The reason i say its no good because i see red vertical lines all across the screen all half an inch away from each other.
Now i want to replace the video card, and i am so confused, because some people on the forums say it is possible to replace some say it is not.
I am just clueless about laptops. It is a pci-e card.
Ive been reading about people are talking about MXM. (II, III, IV)??
What is all that?? and does my card fall under that?
Can i put any go 7900 gs in my laptop? say from an acer or a dell?
because i thought as long as it is a pci-e card its a unversal port you know?
like with desktops?
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

it should be a universal part

however good luck finding one

we just had this discussion maybe a week ago
and prices for that card were in the area of $500.00

can get a new laptop and a slightly better video card
for around 800 to 900.00
