I was hoping someone could offer some advice on what video card that I should upgrade to. I currently have a ATI Radeon X600 XT 128mb PCI express graphics processor. I was considering the ATI X1900 XTX or the Nvidia Geforce 7900 GTX and was unclear as to which is better. The ATI card has a higher rate of shader operations and fragment pipelines, and the Nvidia card has a higher texture fill rate, and texture units. Which is of more vital importance? I want to be able to play the games I play with "Highest Quality" enabled. Examples of them would be Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Quake 4, Doom 3, FEAR, Half Life 2, Everquest.
