hi guys.. a saw i posted my problem in the wrong section.

just added a second 7900 GTX , got i secondhand from China..

Before i put it in my comp was dead quiet..

now its make a lot of fan noise. probably from the new videocard..
and not under load but constantly..

has it been tampered with? overclocked maybe? how can i check?

will change get a new setup soon anyway but would be nice for now.

cheers
David

If it has been overclocked , it shouldn't make any more noise because of that .
Check the cooling , first of all , is it the stock cooling and second , check the fan speed , and also see if that vent is running against a screw or something .
A SLi setup will always be noisier , than a single card setup , though .

Check for any cable interference with the fan, usually this is the main problem for a noisy PC.

uhm... I would disagree with this statement, but it would be a good thing to check.
