Lengthproblem, m-atx, which card to get?

I have a Ati 2600xt-card and find the performance so'n so.

Tried to replace it with a Gf 8800gtx-card, but it is too long for my mediacab. from Antec.

Anyone who knows of a good gpu that is not too long?

Possibly the HD 4670 ( as far as I know , it's not a big card ) , ALTHOUGH it is slower , than the 8800 GTX , and you can't play on uber resolutions with it .

when you tried to put in the 8800 gtx, was it just a bit over in length ?

Yeah, what ultima said. HD 4830/50/70s are generally about the same length as my own card (about 9"). If you were close, you probably could fit a single slot 4850.

8800gtx was way off. How long is a 4850?

both the 4850/4870 are 9 inches long

the 4670 is 7.6 inches

I think the conversion-number is 2.54.

I have a cab that is 25 cm long thats the space for a card that is, that will be 9.8 inches.

I use the metric system aswell .
And yep , that should be around 9.8 inches .
