I have absolutely no idea, theorically it should be faster at 2x AA, maybe some other programes you're running causing it to lag the moment you change to 2x AA?

no its just Crysis

Perhaps 4xAA doesn't work at all , hence it works well . Because AA cuts down most cards in Crysis... especially the R6** cards .

Definitely not ...

DEFINITELY not. I can confirm Radiator's statement, as I have a 3870x2 and it HATES antialiasing on Crysis. Even 2x is a problem.

At low settings ? Or medium ?
And please give numbers , instead of saying , that it "works very well" .

It probably isnt working if you are able to play at 8x AA on the 3000 series.
At 2x it appears to work, but 3870 doesnt have the gusto to do AA (almost nothing does)

Crysis benchmark/ using FRAPS to see what kind of FPS you are getting and telling the numbers here .

Turn up the resolution and switch off the AA , you'll get better performance with better image quality .

The ice missions have TONS of particular effects that make FSAA a massive burden with little graphical improvement. Trust me, in Crysis, you don't need FSAA--you need to worry about higher framerate.

Acually i was gonna post something like this i got a weird glitch going on....
When I put my computer into standby it switches the everything off except the Optical drives, the case fans, and the PSU itself!?! Now I'm not a really good expert at assesing things, but I would say that this is REALLY bad!

That's probably got something to do with the fact , that you put it on standby . Standby does not mean shutting down the computer , if you didn't know .

Used ta shut everything off but it kept what was stroed in the RAm so it could quickly boot right back up.
