I remember that you could pair a 3870 with a 3850, or two 3870's with a 3850 or any combination therein.
My question is: Is this possible with the 4800 series, and is it possible to Crossfire the 4800 series with the 3800 series (I believe I heard a rumor about that some time ago)

Give it a shot, and tell us what kind of performance gains you get.
You can because I've read at least ONE guy who has done it.

You can't because Fudzilla said so.

You can because TG Daily said so on the same day Fudzilla said you couldn't.
