Best Buy is offering a Dell XPS 630 computer with a Geforce 9800 GT in it: Dell - XPS Desktop with Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E8400 - X630-112B (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8878841&type=product&id=1210379087904)

One of the places I Googled refers to it: VR-Zone : Technology Beats - Nvidia First 55nm Desktop Graphics; GeForce 9800 GT (http://www.vr-zone.com/articles/Nvidia_First_55nm_Desktop_Graphics;_GeForce_9800_G T/5714.html), but there's not much about the actual video card.

Anybody know anything more about the card?

I checked Dell, but in configuring a XPS 630, the video card option for a GeForce 9800GT didn't come up.

Great card. I have two 8800 GTs and they overclock great, but I can only imagine what the 9800 GT would do with a shrunken die. It will be about the same in stock configuration as the 8800 GT, which is a fantastic card, but will overclock much better. Use the "Compare" tool on this site to find out more.

I'd like to compare but apparently there's no such 9800GT in their database... not to mention that HP also has those Geforce 9300GS, 9500GS, and 9600GS cards choices for their desktops featured just recently...

9800 GT is supposedly the exact same as 8800 GT with a die shrink. I believe it will be priced at the same cost as the current 8800 GT, possibly a bit more. It should overclock to almost 800 core easily as that was the 9800 GTX+ is supposed to do.

All these newer (55nm) 9 Series cards are not really anything more than a die shrink which improve the yield and costs. Most everything I’ve read is saying they don’t do any more for HD content offloading or video playback. They aren’t bring anything new and still don’t compete with ATI 3600. Nvidia has work diligently with OEM’s to get them in boxes with their mobo’s and Intel CPU’s. They are hoping to offset the AMD 780G combo’s for the back to school machines. I sure would think that the integrated graphic’s boards are more cost effective so Nvidia must be giving the VGA add card with each board.

Didn't clarify that all that well... that would be 9300GS, 9500GS, and 9600GS. I probably shouldn't have said it as *don't* compete, but rather "will" compete with... as neither are for gaming and should basically the same features.
