Problem with my Drivers

I went to ATi's site to download the latest catalyst control centre for my Radeon X1300PRO, so I've downloaded the catalyst control centre 7.11. I've installed it and restarted my computer, but the catalyst control centre can't open giving me a error, but in my Display properties, they stat I'm using Radeon X1300/X1550 series, what's wrong with my catalyst control centre? Any ideas?

1) Did you first uninstall the old ones , then restart , then install new ones ?
2) Don't go above Catalyst 7.6 on an X1K card .

oh ya I forgot to remove my old catalyst version 5.4, after removing it, works fine in my computer now, thx anyway:)
