need advice..fastest agp card I could get?

I have reached the point with my current system that I cannot really upgrade per sae any more without goign to a new mboard, cpe , ram etc and I DONT have any pci-e slots...onlyagp.

I am at work right now so I am doign this from memory but think I currently have a 6600 with 256 mg ram.

Any better cards agp wise out there that can give me enough performance boost to make it worth the while buying them? ( cpu a p4 3.2).

Some games like medal of honor airborne play fine but only at like 800 by 600

if I could substantially increase my video power for 200-300 I may do it to buy a bit more time before I redo the entire system.

hmmm...agp cards has a 8X transfer rate at most, but only PCI-express has a 16x transfer rate higher then agp so its better tad u have a new motherboard if u wan a higher transfer rate...tads my advice.

about wad i said theres something to add on..u can also try a Geforce 7950 AGP if u wan a really good card tad can play games like airborne real well(of course PCI-E cards r btr),btw also upgrade ur RAM if possible (only if its not sufficient fer ur use)...

The X1950 XT AGP is the most powerful AGP card , that exists .
However , a X1950 Pro AGP is very fast for it's price.. hell.. it's just fast .
And by the way , 8x AGP wouldn't even bottleneck a 8800 GTX .
Oh and whatever amount of RAM you have in your PC , upgrade it to 2 GB or 1.5 GB .
That CPU will bottleneck any of the high-end AGP cards that are out though .

Actually tests have been done on tomshardware that prove the even an 8800GTS is bottlenecked by 8x bandwidth in many situations. A 1950pro was not affected at all at 8x but dropped at 4x.

anyway, back on topic... the X1950 XT is your best bet at this point: good price, excellent performance. If you have an absolute need for DX10 (I'm assuming not) you can go with the HD2600 pro AGP. It's outperformed by the X1950 though.

Or HD 2600 XT AGP . But don't look at those cards , look at the X1950 cards rather . Or if you're a nVidia fan , then the 7900/7950 AGP cards ( not as powerful as the X1950's though ) .

x1950....or a 7950 one of those cards will do perfectly. no mid end dx10 unless hd3xxx series or gf 8xxx series
