X850XT or 7600GT

I have two questions for you guys here.
My PC have these specs:
Athlon XP 2800+
1GB of Ram
FX5200 128MB AGP

So first of all - is it worth even upgrading my graphics to something like X850Xt or 7600GT?
and if it is worth upgrading than which one should I go for?
from what I have seen, it seems that X850XT is faster, but 7600GT has SM3.0, so what you recommend??

I plan to play something like STALKER and maybe Supreme Commander if I can get them to run on my system...

get the x1950Pro its not that expensive of a card and runs good from what I hear. Just make sure you have the room for it. My friend told me it was close to the size of a subway sandwich.

I wouldn't bother upgrading that PC . But if you don't have the money to buy a brand new one , then buy the X1950 Pro . I was thinking of buying that , but... then I realised how thin my wallet really is .

since its working on a agp & im using the same gc as u, i recommend a PCI-E MB but u could also buy a X1950 AGP as suggested by the above user, but its expensive though & i can't even think of upgrading...

Buying a X1950 Pro AGP online will cost you about 170 dollars + shipping .
I however , cannot buy things online , so if I wanted to buy it , it'd cost me ~260 dollars ( the dollar course is damn low ) or ~190 euro .

1950 is way to expensive for this pc... I am in France at the moment and from what I have seen it costs almost double..
The whole thing is that I am buying a new PC this coming summer so i need something to waste time with until then..

Ugh.. 7600 GT if the X1950 Pro AGP is too expensive . X850 XT is very fast , but it doesn't have SM3.0 support . But honestly.. you'd want atleast a X1950 Pro AGP for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. , Supreme Commander , Crysis , UT3 , etc. .
