My friend told me that one of his friend's MotherBoard has a AGP slot and a PCIe slot, he didn't tell me the model of the MotherBoard. I have never seen the MotherBoard before and I am not sure if he's lying to me due to his jealousy of my Computer's performance, is there a MotherBoard with a AGP slot and a PCIe slot?

There is a motherboard with an AGP and a PCIe x4 slot . Can't remember the model number though .

PCIe x4, but my friend claim that it is a PCIe x16, do you believe him?

There are so many different motherboards , that it's hard to keep track for me . Might be , but that's the first I've heard of a AGPx8+PCI-e x16 motherboard .

I don't believe him because if a MotherBoard has a AGP + PCIe, why not have 2 PCIe slots, so it can be sold for more money. Or have you seen any AGP Graphic Card which is CrossFire or SLi certified, no right, so I don't believe him at all

Well obviously you can't connect an AGP card with a PCI-e card , but that doesn't mean that motherboards with both AGP and PCI-e slots don't exist .

but anyway I still don't believe him, if there's a MotherBoard which have a AGP and PCIe, why not have 2 PCIe, so it's can be sold for more money and the manifacturer will earn more money, unless the manifacturer is dumb enough to waste the chance to install AGP instead of a PCIe on the MotherBoard

Some Asrock motherboards have both AGP and PCIe slots .
It's for people who don't want to upgrade their video card to a PCIe one , if they want to upgrade their CPU to a better one .
Not everyone is made of money , ynow .

So you think a AGP and PCIe slots MotherBoard exist? But I still don't quite believe, I ask my friend to show me the MotherBoard personally then we'll see...

I'm certain that they exist .
As for your friend having or not having one , that's a different story .

I said I'm certain that AGP+PCI-e motherboards do exist .
However , I'm not sure if your friend has one or not . Just because motherboards like that exist doesn't mean , that your friend has one .

It does exist i own one. Why, the reason is pretty simple, i didnt want to change my graphic card when i bought the board but i wanted a core 2 duo and i knew i would upgrade to pcie sometime. the name: 4coredual-vsta from asrock http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=4COREDUAL-VSTA i know this is not the only model (this one is 8xagp 4xpcie) and i heard about a 8x agp and 16x pcie im pretty sure it does exist.

I think thats the only one, not 100% sure though.
Not sure when that board was released but looking at it having ddr+ddr2 it looks like it was designed as a future proofing board, so if theres any other boards with AGP and PCI-E it would likely use the same chipset.

I don't think you can have both an AGP and a PCI-e card active in your PC . Then again , I might be mistaken ( maybe you can use them on 2 different monitors ? ) .

actually its really possible for PCI-E & AGP to work together y not if u r using an agp card & decided to upgrade it into PCI-E which makes it good as u don't need to change the motherboard whether its a agp or PCI-E card or its for other purposes such as one that radiator mention:use it for two monitors.
