For gaming ? Or for what ?
Also , what are the rest of the PC specifications ?
Is it an AGP or a PCI card ?

it should be AGP, even my pentium2 computer has a AGP slot.

Even the newest PCs may have only PCI slots . Gaming PCs have AGP/PCI-e slots . AGP/PCI-e slots are useless for workstations .

It has a Pci-16x slot. I wanted to replace it with an X1300 for 50$ but forget it. Anyway to the second part of my question does anyone know what i need to major in college to learn how to make chips? I thought electrical engineering but some people say you need alot more. Anyone have any ideas?

Do you want to use the PC for gaming or not ?

And sorry , I don't have a clue , what you need to learn in order to build computer chips .

is meant for working or gaming purpose? For architecture use, buy FireGL....

Nah it's ok guys it's just 8 channels i dont need anything intensive. The radeon 7000 has been fine these past few years i think i can squeeze out a few more years out of it.
