I have lost my ATi support disk, so I have decided to download latest drivers from the internet, but after installing the drivers, they asked me to Restart the Computer so after finished installing. After the Restarting the Computer, I went to display properties and checked but they stated [Default Monitor] on ....., which means no display adapter is detected. Is it my Graphic Card's problem or my hard disk? Because I accidentally fell the console from my bed, and the hard disk has a little problem. If it's my Hard Disk spoil still never mind because I am using a 4GB Hard Disk, but if it's my Graphic Card spoil, I am in deep trouble, I lost my warranty card....:(

The same problem also occurs when I tried using my MotherBoard's intergrated Graphic Card, Intel GMA 3000, after I finished installling the drivers and asked me to restart my Computer, then I went to the display properties and they stat the same thing, [Default Monitor} on......., now I am sure it's not my Radeon X1300PRO's problem, is it my Hard Disk or MotherBoard which cause this problem?? I am afraid that the North Bridge controller is damaged:confused: If it's my MotherBoard I am in deep trouble because I also lost my MotherBoard's warranty card :(

Search for older drivers .
The newest drivers don't work on older cards . I'm still using Catalyst 7.6 or 7.5 .

I had problems with the new ATI/AMD drivers just released last week. I had to rollback to the driver I was using before. I have a Saffire Radeon 1650 Pro AGP and there was something wrong with "object3d" none of my games would work and the Windows screensavers wouldn't even display. Maybe just a bug they will work out?

They only make drivers for newer cards now . The newest driver that properly works on X1K cards is the Catalyst 7.6 .

I've fixed the problem, it is because of my damaged Hard Disk, but thanks anyway for trying to help me:)

It appears that ATI/AMD is not supporting AGP cards with their last few driver releases. However omegadrivers.net has the new Catalyst 7.10 driver up for download and they have worked AGP support into their version. I have used it and it works great.

Time for me to do a little driver update after I finish downloading Crysis demo . Thanks for posting it , mr. Gadwall .
Or maybe it's not such a good idea , considering I'm not using a X1900/X1950 card .

I have a X1650 Pro AGP, shouldn't be a problem unless you have a really old card. Omega lists the cards that are not compatible and it goes back to early 9000 and 7000 series cards.

I really would rather have the Omega Drivers because you won't be running the 7 or 8 processes the most recent ATI Catalyst drivers run and they have a lot more customization abilities. Just make sure you uninstall all ATI drivers and components before you install the Omega Drivers. Probably a good idea to run a driver cleaner as well

As you could read from my signature , I have a X1600 Pro AGP .
Anyway , I have no performance issues in any games ( hell , even Crysis demo runs pretty playable and it looks bloody awesome ) .
