6800 gs vs 6800 gt

wtf? it really ticks me off that i paid a premium price for a gt and then nvidia puts a card that is cheaper with less pixal pipelines and it beats my card!

The 6800GS is not faster than the GT.

The 6800GT has been around for over a year and a half, the reason for the GS is because it can be produced for less money and give the same performance as the GT.

It's called progress, and it's no reason to get angry.

I bought my 6800 GT for $400 when it first came out...and I'm not mad, cuz I got a solid 18 months of gaming out of it.

They performed almost identically. The GS is just a way for Nvidia to get rid of some cores.
