Have been agonizing over the purchase of a low end video card...I may be wrong here BUT Leadtek 8500 cards seem to have a very high build quality. The heat sinks seem bigger than their competitors (especially the EXTREME version) and I've noticed (finally) that in reviews their fans get comments of being fairly quiet.
I'm NOT a gamer but just want a high quality, low end card (I know this may be a contradiction in terms) that comes with a quality fan and will last the 6 years I tend to keep a computer before I upgrade...I keep reading reports of loud, poor quality fans and overly hot video cards that self destruct after 2 years.
Various e-tailers list LEADTEK as having a 90 day warranty BUT their website says 2 or 3 years. Can anyone comment. Will be using in a new DELL E521 with AMD X2 4000+. THANKS in advance for any comments!
