Hi...It's me with some trouble again.I'm thinking about purchase an Enermax Galaxy 1kW PSU but the problem is i have a 2000KVA(1050W) UPS.Do you think it'll get along with my new PSU cause i read somewhere on the internet that the UPS must be at least 200W stronger than the PSU (in my case it only 50w stronger):confused:.In fact,i didn't think about changing my
Asus 550W PSU at the first place but yesterday when i playing the newly installed Lost Planet, something happen. When the giant louse...or something like that apper,my PC suddenly turn-off.I figure that out that may be my PSU was over-powered.Please! I really need some help

First of all , what are your machine specifications ?
And the turning off might have been caused by overheating .
Even for the most power-consuming PC I can think of , a 1KW PSU is more than enough .

My Spec: Asus Striker Extreme MoBo
C2D E6600@3.0Ghz plus Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme
Crucial Ballistix Tracer 2x1Gb 8500C5 DDRII
eVGA 8800Ultra SuperOverclocked
2x400GB WD HDD
About 7x120mm fan
Asus 550w Power Supply
P/S:i know that 1KW PSU is more than enough but my question is "Does my UPS can handle this 1KW PSU"

You should be fine. You're not going to be pulling anywhere near the full 1000W out of the UPS. If you added a few more drives and another 8800Ultra, and did some major overclocking, then it might be a concern.

it's probably be ok...but I would personally upgrade the ups...that's a lot of hardware, protect it well...:)

One question... why on earth would you SLi a 8800 Ultra ?
A single one is good enough for anything you can throw at it .

Tell me , do you visually see a difference between 80 and 120 FPS ?
If not , what's the point in SLi'ing it ?

First of all it's just fun to build such a thing...second of all it gives you extra headroom to make sure framerate *always* stays high...third it lasts longer since it'll be able to play newer games fast as well...fourth you can crank AA and AF all the way up in every game...etc etc etc

Fun for people who are willing to waste a ton of cash on such a machine .
Anyway , even with ONE 8800U you can max out AA currently .
But yeah the rest of your talk makes sense .
