Will Graphic Cards that required 6-pin or 8-pin PCIe power connector given in the box like 4-pin HDD connector convert to 6-pin PCIe connector?

I am not sure whether the power cables are 4-pin HDD connectors convert to 6-pin or 8-pin PCIe connector because i can't see clearly what's that, I am considering to buy a Radeon HD2900 XT, but my power supply doesn't have a 6-pin or 8-pin PCIe connector. So will I need to buy a new power supply or I can use the power cables provided if I buy a Radeon HD2900 XT?

First of all. Don't buy a 2900 XT. It sucks.

Second of all, it's probably a 6 pin to 8 pin converter. And if you buy this card you had better have a power supply with 2 6-pin power cables. If you find yourself trying to splice together a bunch of 4-pin hard driver power cables, you probably need a new power supply.
