Direct X 9d?!

is there a such thing as dx 9d? if not, why are there not a dx 9d,e,f, ect. card leading up to dx 10 instead of the jump from 9c to dx 10. a dx 10 card would not be able to use dx 10b,c,d, etc. would it?

I recommend you read the directx page at wikipedia...

Basically the a, b, c just means it's a slight variation on dx9, which happens for a bunch of reasons.
