Sorry to burst your bubble but NVIDIA said it was a typo and they officially said that they will NOT make a 8800GS. Go to the link http://www.techpowerup.com/?29810 it might not work because this is my first time putting one a link up. As of Friday 20 at 3:20 pm PST it was the first one.

even if it wasnt a typo that might be what youd expect them to say. and you know theres gotta be some product, 8800GS or 8600 Ultra thats gonna fill the gap. from 32 SPs to 96? far to big a gap to me.

And I agree, they need something between the 8600gts and the 8800gts 320mb...maybe prices will come down when the ultra launches...
