Ok in my last thread I was asking Q's about the X1950 pro, but I decided I would just get a laptop. So how much of a performance increase could I possibly see from my old comp to new. (A guess is fine)

OLD COMP:

HP PAVILION a465c
P4 3.0 GHz 512k L2 (From 2002)
160GB 7200rpm HD (From 2002)
ATI Radeon X1300 AGP 256
1GB Ram PC3200 DDR 400 MHz (Added 512mb in 2005)
3Dmark06 756, 965 w/overclocking the video card

NEW LAPTOP:

SONY VAIO VGN-FE890
(Customized to these specs)
Core 2 Duo T7200 2.0 GHz 4Mb L2
100GB 5400rpm HD
NVIDIA GeforceGo 7600
2GB Ram PC-4200 DDR2 667 MHz
3Dmark06 Unknown

My opinion is that it should double in performance (except in the HD but what I do know they might have came a long way since 2002). If you need more specs just ask I just put what I thought was important.

So how much of a performance increase could I possibly see from my old comp to new.In terms of multitasking, about 175%; everywhere else, about 75%. You'll still notice a difference and be happy.
