would a single geforce 7950 gx2 work properly in the single slot motherboard KN9 making it a "psuedo" SLI motherboard? if not, how well would an ati x1950 xtx work? i have not seen any one else doing this so i was thinking it must not work, so thought i would come here and ask.

stats of what i currently have are :

ABIT KN9
Sapphire x1650 XT
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 5200+
2G 2x1 DDR2 Ultra
480w PSU
1.44MB Floppy
Western Digital 250GB 7200RPM IDE Hard Drive
Sony DVD RW DRU-710A
Lite-On LTR-52327S
Windows XP Pro. SP2

barring any other difficulty (fit or power req) the 7950 GX2 should work fine in your single slot board. That was the point of putting 2 GPUs on the same card so the platform does not have to be SLI - the SLI work is done on the card itself...
I am running a 7950 GX2 on an Intel 975 board (not SLI) and it works like a champ...
