So whats your opinion? Mines is yes. Amd bought Ati just for the name (ask any person on the street about graphic cards they'll say 90% of the time radeon) and a few other companies we're looking to buy ati out for the exact same reason so they have to buy amd just to get to ati.

My opinion: who cares?

This isn't like one tech company buying out another here. If AMD gets bought by some private entity, I don't think it'll really change anything.

And I don't think your 90% figure is anywhere near correct...especially since nVidia currently has more marketshare than ATi.

I do because they cut off support for Intel chipsets and 90% was from asking my freinds most of them said radeon.
