Holy shit! 65nm gpu's! My god Nvidia is gonna have a tough time beating this!

8900gtx will have 25% more shaders. What you think? The g80 has always had those shaders they were just disabled? Or like some people say the first batch of 8800gtx's we're defective.

And i have one more bit of news(Without a link) Ati will make an x2900xl version of the r600.

What are your thought's guys?

Don't get too far ahead of yourself; the Inq reported that the r600 was going to be 65nm up until about three months ago, so who knows if this report is any more accurate.

However, the fact that the r600 is going to be such a monster has lead me to a position where I might just way for the r700 and see what it's going to require in terms of both power and cooling. Somethings tells me that for as much of a step as the 8800gtx and x2800xtx are going to be, the next generation of cards (with multiple cores and all) will end up even more powerful; I don't think that multi-core GPUs are going to end up anywhere near as limited as multi-core CPUs, as GPUs are wholly driver compliant, and the manufacturer will release drivers every month making their muli-core card work on that months wave of games. Just the thought of having three or four r580s on a card makes me wet. (c:

Right but what do you think about the rumor that the g80 has 160 shaders? And that the first batch of 8800gtx;s we're just defective g80 core's? I think that it is possible but why would Nvidia lock pipe's on a card that is supposed to be the top of the line?
