Doing some research on my new 8800GTX and stumbled upon this site

Has anyone had any experience with the Xtreme-G drivers? I might try to test my system with 3dmark 06 with the standard Nvidia Forceware 97.92 vs. Xtreme-G 97.92 to see if I notice a difference, just wondered if anyone here has and if its worth my time.

I ran 3dMark06 leaving all of the options at default and using Standard Nvidia drivers I was able to reach a score of 10,008.
Using the Xtreme-G drivers I only reached 9,971. I think I will stick with the Standard Nvidia drivers for now.

Yeah, I'd just stick with the regular drivers.

I've found games where you can get a slight boost from third-party drivers, but I would stay away from them in general, they tend to be more trouble than they're worth. If there was a simple tweak that made everything faster and caused no bugs... ATi/Nvidia would probably be doing it already.

Indeed. As a general rule, the engineers at nVidia/ATi are way smarter than anyone who runs a hardware website...unless of course it's this hardware website...;)
