Wtf? Mislabeled? If it is really DX10 well then it might sell out fast.
What ya think?

Clearly mislabeled.
Thought so. I was gonna tell my friend to get one but he is waiting for the RV610. (Boy you should've seen his face light up with joy, And crash  )

Haha, thats just stupid.. the X1950 Pro is a DirectX9.0 card. I wonder how they could have made that mistake.
But then it does raise the question - what is different with the 8800s that makes them "DirectX10"? If its not hardware, then the X1950 Pro COULD be made into a DX10 card, cant it?

It's pretty much impossible...there are big changes in DX10 that DX9 cards simply can't handle...

Like all shaders are one? Pixel(Light) Vertex(Complex Math) and Geometry(Shapes), Better textures?(No more static textures aka bit map is now standard) And Streamlined Rop's(Something i heard about DX10 having better control over the raster op's since everything is done on the gpu not requiring the cpu to do anything more then just input the raw data to it)

Well the unified shaders thing can actually be simulated using a driver. But stuff like geometry shaders and other requirements make it impossible to do DX10 on a DX9 card.

So its the architecture of the card itself then.. hardware?
I guess it wouldnt make much sense being the SPs since the R600 does not have SPs (scalar processors), but Vec4 instead. Or am i wrong?
