View Full Version : Changes to the Comparison Page
I've made a couple of changes to the comparison page and I'd like to get everyone's opinions on them:
1. The higher spec for fillrate, shader ops, memory bandwidth etc is now bolded. (i.e. the specs for the faster card are in bold)
2. Benchmarks (3dmark03, 05, and 06) have been moved up to the top and are only displayed if both cards have data for the benchmark.
3. You can now see retail cards and they are sorted by price.

Only problem I've got is that you can't view the cards 3dmark results when viewing just the single card page. I like the bolding of the card with better theoretical statistics; very nice.

Well, honestly, the only reason it's not on the single card page is because I couldn't figure out a place to fit it in...hmm

You could always shorten up the 'related cards' tab and fit it between that and the ads...

Mike it's perfect.

I actually tried that, and it didn't work very well...plus I think the benchmark section needs an overhaul anyways...because it doesn't say what cpu or drivers were used to get that score...
Hmm...maybe I can find a smaller ad to put there...cuz I think the 3dmark score is helpful to some people...

You would think the XT would out-perform the pro simply because of the marketing, let alone the actual hardware involved; getting similar results is not worth the additional $40, no matter who you are.

uggh, 3dmark scores are too cpu dependent, so depending on what review you read and what test setup was used, the scores can be off enough to make a slower card look faster...
I need to rethink this whole benchmark thing
