Is their a way to manually force my 8800gts to configure the pixel and vertex pipes to a number I want? And How Can i Make it do that Next-Gen effects thing that Track says?

Again, ive only seen it work in Half-Life 2 and Tomb Raider: Legends.

You cannot force ur 20 ROPs to do anything other than pixel fill, and u cannot unlock the extra 4.
You cannot choose for the shaders what to shade, they do that by themselves.

All load balancing is done in hardware. I attended a lecture on the G80 architecture yesterday, and, well, the simplest way I can put it is, even if you had an nvidia engineer sitting next to you hacking drivers, you still probably would not be able to control what type of shader processor each pipeline acts as.

Thank you Mike, And do you think that maybe in the future it will allow you to do such a thing? Or maybe Ati will let us do such a thing?
