So we are going to have a contest. Closest guess to the actual transistor count of the R600
will win a one-of-a-kind FABULOUS prize!

Here is a hint to get you started in the correct direction:

The R600 has more transistors than the 580+, which has 384 million.

Without an equation and a way to tell how many transistors a card has in comparison with it's specs, this is a pretty wild guess, and and un-neccesery one at that.

We are looking at over 500M, and more than the G80 but thats all that we can say for now.
Unless, there was a way to tell how many transistors a card has in comparison to specs.. but that can't be because for instence, the 7800 GTX had the same ammount of pipes as the 7900 GTX, with the latter having over 20 Million transistors less.
