Thats stupid.
Intel may have had shity gaming CPUs from 2002 up until now, but the Core 2 Duo is the most impressive piece of hardware on the market.
1/2 the price? How abt 1/3 or 1/4?
If u buy the FX-62 wich will never give u even half the performance of what u could have had with a Core 2 Duo, i will come over to ur house in the UK and kick ur ass.

And the 8800?
Why not the R600? The whole point of being on this site is being better and more educated than everyone else.
We are the lucky few who visit this, what i like to call the most amazing site ever in the history of the internet, because then we can go to graphics card forums, get flamed for saying stuff that is true but otherwise unheard of and be remmembered as the son of go.. err, i mean deciphles of GPUReview.com, wich dosen't review and never will.
Hmm...i havnt been keepin tabs on da latest crazes in da computer world...

a better ultimate CPU
Intel QX6700 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819115011)
Asus Striker Extreme (http://www.asus.com/products4.aspx?l1=3&l2=11&l3=397&model=1439&modelmenu=1)
Three 8800GTX's (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130072) in SLI
4X 1gb OCZ Flex XLC (http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/ocz_ddr2_pc2_9200_flexxlc_edition)
Ase tek KT12AT-12VX (http://www.asetek.com/default.asp?showPage=startside.asp¶m=sideid&myvalue=14&contentSection=2&menuID=-1)
Three swiftech MCW ramcool (http://www.swiftech.com/) blocks (may need modding)
Antec P180 B (http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=81802) (modded top to fit triple Rad, thats what ima do with my comp in a few weeks).
and we dont use the R600 because it only has 64 SPs (yeah i know they could be clocked higher, or ringbus could outperform Gigathread, or it could be less stages, or could have more mathmatical horsepower then NV SPs... but STILL).

There is no advantage to Quad-Core, and the whole point is to Not buy the highest-end CPU, because the only thing that is high is the price.
There are no drivers to support 3 cards at the moment, so thats a waste of money.
The R600 will have 256 unified shaders, not 64.
