Nero interferring with GPU???

would installing nero interfere with the frame rates during games?
i remember a long time ago reading something about this bunt cant remember for sure...

i picked up a geforce 7800 GS OC agp and it ran GREAT for the first 4-6 days... then i just started notice a framerate drop playing certain games...
simple games like WoW and dungeon siege II...
when days before i was playing FEAR and Titan Quest cranked???
i did realize that my HD space was low and uninstalled lots of games so that i could get the recomended 25% space and defragged. i thought maybe that was the problem. it was not.

the only thing i can remember changing is installing Nero.
has anyone heard anything about this at all?

Only way to check is to kill whatever unnecessary processes you have running in the background then check to see if it makes a difference. You might also consider using msconfig to keep some programs from running at startup.

well the 7800 is gone...?
it was incredible for the first few days, seriously ive never seen something so wierd with hardware happen, and then just kinda didnt.

so i ordered a dell with the new core 2 duo and a geofrce 7900.
F it.
im done trying to pump cash into this antiquated frankenstien system...

every time i build a PC im using half old parts to save money and it ends up being a total waste, cause before you blink the aliens have dropped off some new technology.

You should build a custom rig yourself..with totally new parts. Ive havent had good experience with Dell stuff.
