View Full Version : ati or nvidia
I have hard time chosing from two cards: asus x1600 pro or asus 7300gt. I don't have money for anything better so wich one is the best(i will do overclocking on it).

The GeForce 7300GT is quite well priced, at around $85 and given the overclocking performance it is quite a good buy. However, if you were to spend roughly $10 more, would the Radeon X1600 Pro become the better buy? This is a question better answered after putting a few things in consideration, starting with what games you prefer to play.
Heres a review http://www.techspot.com/review/7-nvidia_geforce_7300gt_vs_ati_radeon_x1600pro/
These 2 cards arent much different. It depends on the games your goin to play but id say go with the X1600 Pro cause it beats the 7300GT by a little bit.

x1600 pro all of the way... the 7300 gt seems too low low low end than the x1600 pro. the 7300gt is nothing much better than the cheap 7300gs. i would say try a x1600. seems like ull get out of it more
So it is done: x1600 it is then. 10x!

The X1600 Pro is a pretty bad card. Its crippled with 12 fragment ipes and only 4 texture units.
However the 7300 GT is abt the same, except that its more rounded off.
Id say, get the 7300 GT. They both have the same 90nm process core, so u can overclock them to 500+, but overclocking the 7300 GT would be MUCH better. So by getting the 7300 GT and a 10-20$ fan u can have better performance then the 7600 GS.
But, if u spend another 50$ u can have the 7600 GT, wich is FAR better then the 7300 GT, even overclocked its still not even coming close.
Heck, in the graphics card market, a little more $ can get u a LOT more performance.
well in the end i got a galaxy 7300gt with ddr3(gpu-500, memory-1400 efective) i hope is a good card. thx to all for you support.
