Hi there thanks for accepting me to gpu review, its appreciated!

what it is i have a xfx 4890, i brought it a while back from scan (customer care i find is shocking) after 2 months of messing me around saying contact xfx and xfx saying contact scan, they came to the conclusion of sending it off to scan first then off to xfx (notice that this was in in warranty when i sent it but not in warranty when it went off to xfx)...i then get a email back saying that this card has miscellaneous damage to it, bare in mind that this card was working fine before hand and i had never took it out the system before i sent it off, it just stopped working? they wont replace the card as apparently it was my fault.. im not sure what i should be doing with it now after months and months of corresponding they decide to send the card back with a little yellow arrow sticker on one of the smallest components (need a microscope to see it) saying this is the damaged bit, im not sure what i should do? being that it was in warranty then just came out of warranty when they had it?

thanks for the help and your time, is there any place that would be able to repair or buy faulty?

thanks again!

Could you upload a photo of the damaged component? If it's a capacitor, you could try replacing it yourself. Anything else (other than a fan) is probably a no-go. No company that I know of will buy a faulty card. Not much on them to salvage. I'd really push the warranty people. Sounds like they're really trying to run you through a loop. What did you do to damage the card?
